Meet The Team

Clara Cadwell is the founder of Farmette. Raised on Tutti Frutti Farms—one of the first certified organic farms in Santa Barbara County and among the largest heirloom vegetable producers in Southern California—Clara’s roots run deep in the local agricultural community. Her upbringing has inspired her connection with local, seasonal, organic food. For the past decade, she’s dedicated herself to nonprofit garden education while raising two children. Clara brings a heartfelt blend of legacy, knowledge, and creativity to every Farmette project. 

Ajna Bayet is Clara’s trusted right-hand woman and an integral part of Farmette. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, her passion for gardening grew from the food-rich environment of  Southern California. Ajna has cultivated her skills across a diverse range of farms—from a non-profit, education-based farm in Santa Barbara to a small-scale flower farm in Byron Bay, Australia. Currently pursuing a degree in Landscape Design and obtaining her Contractors License, she is deeply committed to growing Farmette’s mission to bring connection from the farm to your plate and creating meaningful, edible landscapes.
